Halloween Costume Idea: Evie and Mal from Descendants

So I recently watched Disney's Descendants and I absolutely love it! I especially love Evie (the Evil Queen's daughter) and Mal's (Maleficent's daughter) style. The outfits here are from the beginning of the film where they think they are destined to be evil and are peer pressured by their parents. 

To achieve Evie's look you will need a denim shirt, a graffiti skirt, black boots and a blue leather cape. You will also need to either dye your hair blue using temporary spray or chalk, buy a blue wig or just put blue hair extensions in. For an extra touch try and find an Evil Queen necklace that could be in any disney store, leather fingerless gloves, obviously a tiara as Evie isn't seen without it the whole film and lastly a red apple.

For Evie's denim shirt I found a top on ASOS for currently £15: ASOS denim shirt

I found some black buckled biker boots on sale in Office for £29.00: black studded biker boots

For Evie's cape a blue leather jacket would finish the look off perfectly but the jackets start at £100 so if you don't want to splash the cash on an expensive jacket then I recommend buying a blue cape from a fancy dress store. 

But if you want to be Mal then what you are going to need is either a purple dress with black tights or purple tight trousers with a purple top. Also, with either outfit you will need a leather jacket, black studded boots and a way to make your hair purple. If you want to go all out you could also buy green contact lenses like how Mal's eyes turn in the film. 

For the main outfit I found: a purple dress which is similar to Mal's date dress but if you want to wear trousers then any clothing item will give off the same look as the dress would. 

As black leather jackets are a staple item of clothing you probably have one in your wardrobe already but if you don't then TopShop, Forever 21, H&M or New Look all sell jackets at a relatively cheap price in comparison to other places.

HOWEVER....

If you want to be more dressed up for halloween or if you want an inspired outfit for an event like prom then their coronation dresses are perfect for you!

The girls coronation dresses are so gorgeous and are great inspiration if you want to have a similar look for a wedding or your prom next year!

For Mal's dress I have found a gorgeous powder purple dress from ASOS that is £60: Mal's Dress #1

However, if you want a dress that is more similar to the dress she wore to the coronation then here it is: Mal's Dress #2. I love this dress it is covered in lace and is knee length so it still has a youthful vibe as it shows off part of your legs. You can find the dress of ASOS by the brand Chi Chi London for £75

For Evie's dress I went for two different styles. The first keeps the style of Evie's dress the same neckline, belt embellishment and length of the skirt. It is this dress from New Look, that is priced £49. Then for the other dress I found sticks to the colour of Evie's dress but is shorter however the material of the skirts are extremely similar. The dress can be found on ASOS and is currently on sale for £15. It is by a brand called Chi Chi London and all of the dresses are stunning. I think it is stunning with the high neck and lace embroidered bodice and still channels the character of Evie.

Get the Look: Red Carpet Kendall Jenner #1

Hi, so I was online shopping on ASOS and I came across the brand Jaded London and I absolutely love all of the clothes in the brand. When I was looking on the website I came across a dress that I thought I had seen before so I went onto the web to look for it and I came across Kendall Jenner wearing a dress that was almost identical besides the colour.
Kendall's dress is a green high neck dress covered in crystals with an open side tied together with ribbon. It is custom designed gown created by Calvin Klein and is absolutely gorgeous!
This is probably why I was so shocked when I saw this dress that was so similar to Kendall's one of a kind masterpiece.


The key similarities between the dresses are the shape, the high neck and the ties at the side of the dress. Even though the ASOS dress isn't covered in crystals I think it still gives off very similar looks which is perfect for prom or a wedding.

As you can see this dress looks majorly similar to Kendall's Met Gala Dress.
The brand for the dress is Jaded London which you can find on  Asos for £85. Even though it is a bit more money then you may be used to it is obviously cheaper than Kendall's one of a kind dress.

Get the Look: Casual Kylie Jenner #1

Hi, so for this post I decided to choose more wearable outfits and I thought of Kylie Jenner. She always has amazing style but wears expensive outfits. So I paired together a bunch of clothes that are either the exact or very similar items to her original more expensive items. So here we go:

I absolutely love this outfit and is perfect for Spring/Summer time.

The style and print of Kylie's top is on trend right now so there are lots of places that stock this or very similar tops and I am giving you three tops that I found to be the most affordable and most similar to hers.

The top on the left, is from boohoo it had the same striped black and white pattern with a mock neck. At the moment it is priced at £8.00 but boohoo always have discounts so I'm sure you could get it for even cheaper soon.
The top in the middle is an exact replica of Kylie's top in the picture. It is from Choies and is only $14.99, with free shipping! If you wanted to copy Kylie's look exactly than this is perfect for you.
The top on the right, is also a very similar top to Kylie's but with longer sleeves. I think this is perfect as winter is coming and you want to be warmer clothes but still look stylish. This top is from Ark and is on sale at the moment for £10 from £16 so if you want it buy it while it's on sale!

Another major part of her outfit is also her ripped boyfriend jeans. Currently you can find boyfriend jeans from in most shops and I have found you very different options going from virtually plain to completely distressed depending on how you prefer to wear your jeans. However, since jeans are a staple item to wear I'm sure you have some in your wardrobe and they don't need to be ripped or in the boyfriend style.
The jeans on the left are from Top Shop and are £42. Although they are slightly more pricey compared to the other two, I think they are the closest I have found to finding Kylie's exact jeans without splashing out on hundreds of pounds.
The jeans in the middle are New Look and are priced at £24.99 which I think is a good value for good quality jeans. The rips are more similar to Kylies than the Top Shop ones but the colour of them is much lighter than hers which is great for the summer but still give off the same vibe.
And lastly, the jeans on the right are again from Boohoo and are £25. They have the most extreme rips on the knees and thighs and are also high waisted boyfriend jeans unlike the other two so if you prefer high waisted jeans then these are perfect for you!

To finish off Kylies look you will need any black shoulder bag, which you could already have in your wardrobe, but if you don't than this Topshop bag is perfect for this look. I love the texture and the size is great and the price is £55. If you have then pair this outfit with gold jewellery, round sunglasses and black/grey high top converses to match it even more to Kylie. If you don't have converses and don't want to pay that money then any trainer like shoe will give off the same look. Put your hair into a messy bun and then you're done! You now have a Kylie Jenner inspired outfit for much less money than what she would have paid and still look very similar to her.
